It takes 2 weeks to form a habit so after 4 weeks in lockdown at Level 4, you probably noticed some changes. For many of us, we got up close and personal with ourselves allowing us to reflect on our health and wellbeing. Not surprising as we were only allowed out to exercise.
It was quite the wake up call as to how busy we were and often this is to the detriment of our health. Get up, work, dinner, sleep, repeat, with very little spare time. But then the nation stopped and in order to save our sanity within our bubble, we were getting out for exercise.
Fast forward a couple of years the impact of lockdown has had ongoing effects and there have been reasons for further uncertainty and stress. The impact of this on your mind and body can be crippling. Novi, at Health 2000 invites people to explore supplements to help them feel more balanced and better about themselves. She is very passionate about educating people about how their bodies work and living a healthy life. Novi has been with Health 2000 for 7 years and attracts customers from near and far for her knowledge and expertise.
“Our body is extremely smart, we just have to look after our body well. We have to choose what we put in our body. If we want to be healthy, we have to take what the body needs” she says. Novi is a fan of kinesiology which looks at the mechanics of body movements and identifies the body’s structural, chemical and emotional energy. It’s all very interconnected. Different imbalances evoke other elements of our being. It’s very holistic.
Novi also does muscle testing right here at Highbury Birkenhead. She also does hair follicle scanning to look at deficiencies in your system. ‘It’s all about making sure we get the right products for each individual’ says Novi.
Sleep, worry, probiotics and proteins have been popular and that coincides with the turbulence of the year. Even the ailments are interrelated; stress and worry affect sleep; poor sleep affects energy and good general health. This leads to a sluggish, lethargic feeling and while supplements can aid these flow on affects, it is also important to take a holistic approach and ensure a healthy diet and exercise is also factored in.
